Out and about in a variety of settings, we've seen this bevy of folks:
Canadian Patti DiVita, Scott and Liza Megan, Utahan Bill Waterbury, Colorado Springs-ers Chris Martell and Jerome Carter, Frisco River House's Matt and Liz McManis, Phil and Lindy Wilson, Sue and Jeff Counihan, Susie and Bobby Magrino, whose son Sonny is off to his freshman year at Greeley's University of Northern Colorado; Fast Eddie and Susan O'Brien, Gary Bergman, Mike and Maggie Smith, Chris Miller, Tina Hutting, Peter and Alicia Dunn, Dan and Mo Reisdorph, Rick and Judi Amico, Henry Barr, Laura Steben, Steve, Jennifer and Jake Brauns, Eddie and Patti Bowers, The Katos, The Tusos, Dennis Roley, Dave and Arlene Couchman, now of Denver; O'Lynda Fette, Peter Siegel, Dr. JB Bachman, the brothers and sister Emricks — Ken, Thom and Holly; Bill and Sandy Reetz, Gray Pearson and Linda Axelrod, Steve Pasic, Steve Letofsky, Randy and Julie Hodges, John and Sue Hasegawa, Dr. Marc Shiffman, CJ and Patti Julian, Alex Zona, Frosty Krause, Carol Craig, Frank Walter, Gary Freese, and Marylynn Carner.
And, of course, those regular Copper Mountain Resort golfers Jim Garrett and Joel Carger.

Mary Norris is back from Cottonwood, Ariz., down near Sedona. She's here to escape the summer heat and visit daughter Scarlette Lewark.

Newly bearded Frisco Town Councilman Gary Wilkinson, who's also looking to be re-elected as the county surveyor (stakes, not opinions), was seen entertaining Joyce Burford, who lives in Fraser and is the executive director of the 27-member Colorado Association of Ski Towns — CAST.
Tall, blonde, tanned and dressed in turquoise, Joyce is the daughter of Colorado rancher Bob Burford, who headed the Bureau of Land Management for President Ronald Reagan, 1981-89. Bob was married to Ann Gorsuch, and he died in 1993. Ann died in 2004.
While political trappings may bore some folks, it is interesting to note that Bob is found on page 18 of Jack Kerouac's “On the Road,” where fake names were assigned to the cast of characters. Bob was Ray Rawlins. Kerouac named himself Sal Paradise, and Dean Moriarty was really Neal Cassady.

Down in Salida recently for an art show, we saw:
Linda McMenamy, daughter Kellie and family from Princetown, N.J.; Lisa (Fite) and Tim DeYoung; The Sathers: Dr. Reed, Dr. Beth, Axel and Hawkin and Beth's mother Charlotte; Randy Stroud, general manager at Monarch Mountain Ski Area; Barbara and Harry Bowden of Villa Grove; Barbara and Carl Wagner, Padgett McFeely, and Theresa Casey, all of Salida.

Chances are you've seen that vivid pink Cadillac tooling around The Summit for the last week.
It belongs to Vicki Auth of Austin, Texas, a 28-year veteran of selling Mary Kay cosmetics. She's a national sales director.
This is her 13th pink Cadillac, an all wheel drive 2011 STS4, which has a sticker value of $71k.
“Mary Kay gives me a new one every two years,” she says proudly.
Here with Vicki is her husband Allen, and his parents, Henry and Wilda, from Birmingham, Ala.
They are staying in a condo owned by Alex Smith, an attorney in
Oneonta, Ala.
“We'd loved to have second home here,” Vicki says.
