Film fest seeks volunteers

The Breckenridge Festival of Film is currently looking for reviewers for the 2012, June 7-10 festival.

The reviewing starts now and goes until the end of March. If you love films and love to critique them, this is a perfect volunteer opportunity for you. You don't have to live in Breckenridge to participate. You can review films on your computer at home. If interested, contact Dianna at breckfilmfest@gmail.com.

Travel Slide Show Series at North Branch Library presents European tour

Fasten your seatbelt for tonight's free Travel Slide Show, “Fifteen Countries in 28 Days!” offered to you by the Friends of the Library. This free event begins at 7 p.m. in the Blue River Room of the North Branch Library, 651 Center Circle, Silverthorne.

This whirlwind “sampler” tour of Europe by train will be presented by Jen and Michaela Miller. Beginning in Madrid, and continuing with her daughter from Granada, they visited 15 countries total during their 28-day trip, including France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, England and many more, before flying back home to Frisco. There will also be a brief, bonus presentation by Michaela of photos taken in Spain and Morocco, during her month-long study-abroad abroad program through Colorado Mountain College, prior to their trip.

“It was the adventure of a lifetime, and I'm so glad I was able to do this with my daughter,” said Jen Miller, when asked of their experience. “Beginning in Madrid, and continuing with my daughter from Granada, we visited 15 countries total during our 28-day trip, including France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Wales, and many more, before flying home from London, England, to Frisco.”
