Marthy Hibberd's memorial will be 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday (what would have been her 65th birthday), at The Keystone Center, 1628 Sts. John Road. Please bring your favorite Martha stories, and join us as we remember a delightful, courageous & wonderful lady.
Free homebuyer class slated for Saturday
Have you ever wondered what steps are involved in purchasing a home? Come find out at our free homebuyer education class on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Buffalo Mountain Room at the County Commons in Frisco. You will learn the basics A-Z what it takes to purchase a home, as now sure is a great time to do so. The class is sponsored by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, put on by the Summit Combined Housing Authority with help from local volunteers who will walk you through the lending process, real estate transaction, title company portion and home inspection. There will also be information on current down payment assistance programs and much more. Snacks will be provided. Summit Concert Band has openings
The Summit Concert Band has openings for new musicians. The band is a community-based group focused on providing quality entertainment at events throughout Summit County and the central mountain region. Visitors and part-time residents, as well as full-time residents of the area are welcome to participate in rehearsals and concerts. The band rehearses on most Thursdays from 7-9 p.m.; rehearsal location is normally the Summit High School band room.
