Brad Sutor
Brad Sutor, along with three other contemporary, 20-something artists, opened 4/5 Gallery and Studio on Reiling Road in Breckenridge about a year ago to jump start the art scene in Summit County.
They hope to build upon a successful opening by spreading the word and hosting a monthly Voice Space, as well as other community events that revolve around art.
Why do art?
Three friends and I started 4/5 Gallery and Studio to create the communal art space that we wished was around.

Why do art?
Three friends and I started 4/5 Gallery and Studio to create the communal art space that we wished was around.
There are enough very talented artists in Summit to have a contemporary venue, and it's been a pleasure to see the outcome and support so far. My own photography and design get pushed all the time. My art and my gallery give me the chance to expand my community involvement and pursue my own ambitions.
Dreams
Ultimately, the goal is to have an art scene. It would be nice to have a lasting contemporary art community; somewhere to display or perform most any kind of art, a public voice space, have an extensive art library, hold classes and promote local, political and environmental awareness. Some art and apparel lines would be thrown in there too.
As for my own photography, it would be great to be a Magnum photographer, reporting all over the world, but I would rather see my gallery and community flourish.

Challenge
Prioritizing is my biggest challenge. I try to balance both short- and long-term goals as well as set the right things on the back burner. I would love to spend time on all of the projects and ideas that I have going on, but making it all work and getting events together take precedence.
What you convey
Some constant themes have been adventure and travel photography and mixed media portraiture.
In the next couple of months, we are aiming at more political art in the gallery with a few events and posters along the same vein.
When you are not doing art?
Aside from skiing and hiking, I work at the best locals bar in the county, the Goat Soup and Whiskey in Keystone. The Goat and Pizza 101 is where we all started, and my best friends and ski buds hang in Keystone.
