KEYSTONE - Collect All Five is collecting almost all of the Mondays at the Goat.
The band created a stir last Monday at the establishment and is set to play for the next two Mondays.
"They have a very distinct sound -like Southern jazz rock," said Scott Jackson, owner of the Goat. "It was great. The feedback was all positive."

The band grooves with a blend of funk, Latin and jazz. It's known for its explosive, soulful live shows and wild musical exploration.
Based in Austin, Texas, the heart of the band lies in its five multi-instrumentalist members - Mark Poitras (mallet and guitar), Joshua Mouton (electric bass), Nick Litterski (keyboards and trumpet), Jason Frey (tenor and soprano saxophones) and Matt Coleman (drums).
Poitras played as a percussionist and vibraphonist in Unified Feel Theory before melding into the creative process of Collect All Five.

Since growing up in New Orleans, Mouton's veins surge with the Big Easy funk flavor.
Litterski started banging on the piano at age two, then took lessons for 15 years to unlearn what he learned.
Frey followed in his grandfather's musical footsteps and has played in all kinds of national and international venues.

The parades and street performers of New Orleans inspired Coleman at an early age. He uses the minimum equipment to achieve maximum tones and a variety of sounds.
The band plays a set of original tunes seeped in the deep roots of jazz, reggae, Afro-Caribbean, rock and funk. Plus it throws in a few covers from the likes of Eddie Harris, Thelonius Monk, Ry Cooder and Freddie Hubbard.
