I was very disappointed in the article on Jan. 25 regarding the malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Patricia Duletsky. I felt that the article was very one-sided and would expect more objective journalism from the Summit Daily News.
Dr. Duletsky practiced for many years in Summit County and was very well respected by the many families for whom she cared. I know her to be a careful, responsible and skilled physician and have always had a deep admiration for the quiet dedication with which she practiced.
I am disturbed that Jane Stebbins did not choose to balance her perspective to reflect anything positive in her article about Dr. Duletsky. None of us know exactly what happened in the tragedies discussed and my heart goes out to the families involved, but it is up to the court to decide malpractice.
Until that happens it is irresponsible of a journalist and a newspaper to print such a biased version of a story.
After now having read the Jan. 26 edition, I really wonder why the Summit Daily appears to be launching such a misleading negative crusade against this doctor, who though not infallible, has done so much good.
I am appalled that the Summit Daily News editors and owners would condone this vilification of a dedicated local doctor, whose professionalism and many years of experience have been completely disregarded in these articles.
