Galleries want art fairs moved, not ended

Print Comment
I am so sorry to learn that letter writer Sheryll Wyman (SDN, Feb. 1) has the mistaken idea that the merchants of Breckenridge want the art fairs discontinued.

Never have we made that request. Our concern has been the impact on local businesses when the fairs are held on the busiest weekends of the summer.

Our request has always been that Mark Beling choose weekends other than July 4 and Labor Day to hold his art fairs, or at the very least, that the location be moved from occupying a prime parking lot when parking is at such a premium on those crowded weekends.

We welcome and appreciate all visitors to our town. We work hard to make it as pleasant an experience as possible.
