FRISCO - Frisco police officers discovered 10 illegal immigrants cramped inside a pickup truck parked at a local business last Friday, according to a report from the Frisco Police Department.

Officer Troy Mackey, Sgt. Jim Donahue and Detective Julie Polly were called to Meadow Creek Tire on Friday evening on a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been in the parking lot all day.

The vehicle was a Toyota pickup truck with Arizona license plates. Police found four adult men in the front portion of the truck - one in the passenger seat and three in the area behind the two front seats. Four additional adult males and two juvenile males were located in the covered bed of the truck. The men appeared to have been in the truck for some time because there was a one-gallon milk jug nearly filled with urine in the truck, the report said. Three of the men appeared to be ill and were coughing.

The men told police they were from Arizona and were on their way to Denver or Colorado Springs to work construction. They said they had been traveling since the day before and were in the country illegally from Mexico. The group did not know where the driver of the truck went, but believed he went to Denver to get a new vehicle because the truck had broken down.

Police called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), then took the men to a holding area at the Summit County Jail to be picked up by an ICE agent. An agent arrived in Summit County from Denver about 9 p.m. and took custody of the men for charges related to immigrations violations.

Breckenridge police officers arrested Brandt Martin, 28, for possession of seven grams of cocaine last Thursday after he was stopped for failing to wear protective eye glasses while riding his motorcycle.

Officer Steve Maes pulled Martin over about 1:15 in the morning on Thursday and noticed that he appeared to be intoxicated.

Martin was arrested for DUI after he failed a sobriety test and the officer asked him if he had any drugs or weapons in his possession. Martin said he had cocaine in his pants pocket. Maes found a cocaine pipe with residue and several small bags of cocaine in Martin's pockets. The drugs were weighed in at just over seven grams.

Martin was arrested for possession of cocaine for sales, DUI and driving a motorcycle without eye protection.



<b>Two Frisco Main Street businesses burglarized</b>

Two Main Street businesses were burglarized in Frisco over the weekend. The first occurred at the Snowshoe Motel sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. The manager notified police about 7:45 a.m. Friday that the office door was unlocked and $323 was missing. The manager told police he was sure the door was locked when he left the evening before.

On Saturday morning, the owner of the Moose Jaw called police to report that her business had been broken into at some point that morning. One of the bar's windows had been broken and the window opened. She found four packs of Marlboro cigarettes and three "Moose Jaw" long sleeve gray shirts on the ground strewn from the broken window into the alley. All that appeared to be missing was four cartons of cigarettes from a drawer behind the bar.
