DILLON - Proceeds from the Oct. 2 evening performance of the Lake Dillon Theatre's presentation of "The Oldest Profession" will be donated to help victims of Hurricane Katrina and potentially Hurricane Rita.

"We wanted to do something to help ... and 'The Oldest Profession' popped into our minds, because it deals with five people from New Orleans," said Christopher Alleman, performing arts director for the theater.

Tickets to the Oct. 2 show are $40 each and include appetizers provided by Ristorante Al Lago and dessert and coffee with the cast after the performance. The town of Dillon is matching the theater's raised dollars. Also, for the entire run of the production through Oct. 9, all bar sales and tips are being donated to the cause.

"We think that the support has been so strong for this. We have already sold half the tickets for that night," Alleman said.

The show's ticket sales have been going so well that the theater has had to add two matinee performances Oct. 2 and 9 at 1 p.m.
