Q What type of business do you operate and what do you sell, or what service do you provide?
A Professional interior design and consulting is the business and service. In coordination with our design services, we sell furnishings and accessories, window treatments, floor coverings and art. Our sales are both by direct order from the manufacturers and from the inventory in our showroom.
Q Where are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in Summit County?
A The business originated in Sarasota, Fla. We've expanded the business to Breckenridge, Summit County and the neighboring communities because of our love for the mountains. We've lived here full and part time for over 15 years. Our son graduated from Summit High School. It made sense to expand the business to a place where we have so many friends and wonderful memories. Summit County is an area that keeps us physically active and energized.

Q What experience do you have in this field?
A I have 20 years experience as a residential and commercial interior designer.
During my professional career I have provided interior design services involving modest to upscale homes and condominiums as well as a diversity of commercial projects. I love new construction projects as well as remodels and renovations.
I studied architecture at the University of Miami with further studies at the British Fine Arts Academy in London. I am an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), and a state licensed interior designer. I participate in the Colorado and Florida Chapters of the ASID.
Q What sets your business apart from other similar businesses?
A I have a deep commitment and responsibility to inviting each client to let me discover their true desires for their living or office space. It's easy to simply display swatches and samples to someone and tell them to choose what they want. But when I really talk with my clients about their expectations, their lifestyle and their special needs, a design expression that fits, serves and inspires evolves. I enjoy the experience of my client becoming my friend.

I have a background in architecture and construction that gives each design a sound basis for safety, practicality and longevity. I am in this for the long term, and want my clients to experience the rewards of our mutually developed design for years to come.

A Anyone desiring to enhance, modernize or simply change their existing home or office and those who are ready to build their new home or commercial space.
I also love to talk with those individuals who are just at the "thinking stage" of considering these options.
Sometimes you need a safe place to dream without feeling pressured one way or another.
Q What types of customers do you hope to reach in Summit County?
A Anyone desiring to enhance, modernize or simply change their existing home or office and those who are ready to build their new home or commercial space.
I also love to talk with those individuals who are just at the "thinking stage" of considering these options.
Sometimes you need a safe place to dream without feeling pressured one way or another.
Of course, I thoroughly enjoy working with the builders and the architects as I feel the best interior design begins at the very initial stage of construction.
Q Why did you choose to open where you did?
A Airport Road in Breckenridge is a dynamically growing area of businesses providing necessary services and resources to the community. It is easy to find, there is plenty of parking and it is an area where I could build a studio displaying my resources, allowing my clients to visualize their design alternatives and concepts.
Q What are your plans for your company's future?
A Our most immediate plans are to continue to grow the business. Although we just opened in June, we can see that the growth will continue in great part from the referrals of our friends, clients and fellow business associates. The growth and maturity of our business will allow us to become a better partner with the community and its endeavors.
