KEYSTONE - The Summit County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible missing person on Wednesday from the Keystone Ski Patrol.
The missing person, Shannon Keeter, is employed at the Outpost restaurant at Keystone Resort and did not report for work there as scheduled. A search was conducted and Keeter was found on Thursday in an out-of-bounds area known as Jones Gulch.
The extent of Keeter's injuries were unknown Friday.
Keeter has been cited for violating the Skier Safety Act - skiing in a closed area. The maximum penalty is a fine of $300.
Keeter is scheduled to appear in court on this charge on March 16.
