BOTAS, BRAZIL - Silverthorne couple Fran and Barry Lazarus squeaked by in the second round of "The Amazing Race" Tuesday night and progressed to week three in the competition for $1 million.
The married couple in their early 60s are featured on the CBS adventure television show.
The two overcame a physical ascent up a waterfall, a rappel 400 feet down the face of a building and a broken-down car to finish ninth out of ten teams in the race. The last team, a pair of sisters, was eliminated from the show.
Next week, the Lazaruses and the other remaining eight teams will travel from Brazil across the world to Moscow for their next competition.
