He moved to Summit County in 1989, and since then, he has been documenting Summit County on film. His work hangs in local homes, as well as at Beaver Run Resort and Grand Timber Lodge.

1. Ann Weaver

Watercolor artist Ann Weaver captures the peaceful feelings of mountain landscapes. Many of her paintings feature miners' cabins and simple town structures built during the gold rush. Books and magazine covers have featured the award-winning artist.

He has worked at the Salsa Mountain Cantina at Copper for a year and a half and has served people drinks in Summit County for the last nine years. "It's just pleasing people," he said. "I like making sure everybody leaves happy."

Mike Anderson has worked at Pug Ryan's for about 15 years, so it's no wonder he's a favorite. Being a partial owner, he cares a lot for the business and the staff, and it shows. "He's very personable. He's been here forever — he knows everybody's names," said Sue Smith, assistant manager.

Itís not surprising that the bike path from Frisco to Copper Mountain is the most popular biking route. This six-mile ride is especially pleasant with a tailwind. The Ten Mile trail made our top 10 most voted for list, coming in ninth with a whopping 265 votes.

The brewery is a fair-priced, friendly place with a staff of core employees. "We're trying to give a real good value for the dollar," said owner George Blincoe.

It's hard to pick one best thing about a road trip to Glenwood Springs. First of all, the scenery from Summit County to the hot springs is absolutely spectacular. It changes from dramatic peaks and valleys to red cliff walls. The straight-shot highway prevents even the directionally challenged from getting lost, and the speed limit reaches a 75 mph clip for a good amount of time. While most people associate two huge pools with

Glenwood Springs (and whose muscles don't start to melt at just the thought of a nice, long soak), Glenwood offers plenty of diversions, from a hike to Hanging Lake or a walk to Doc Holliday's grave to a stroll down Main Street. It must be the best, because it won last year, and this year 264 people voted for Glenwood, making it our 10th highest vote getter.
