Life seems to be looking up for shy and withdrawn Stephane (Gael Garcia Bernal) when he is coaxed to return to his childhood home with the promise of a job, in the mundane world of copy setting. Wildly creative, his fanciful and sometimes disturbing dream life constantly threatens to usurp his waking world. Stephane is quickly drawn to his neighbor, Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg) whose imagination easily matches his own. As their relationship blossoms, the confidence Stephane exudes in his dreams begins bleeding over into his real life. Unable to bear the prospect of a waking world without Stephanie's love, and with no satisfying solutions coming out of his dream world, Stephane faces a dilemma he may not be able to depend on the science of sleep to help him solve. R for language, some sexual content and nudity. 106 min.

'Flushed Away'

Showtimes: 4, 4:30, 6:45, 7:15, 8:45 and 9:15 p.m. Friday; 2, 2:30, 4, 4:30, 6:45, 7:15, 8:45 and 9:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 4:30, 7:15, and 9:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon.

The claymation masterminds behind "Wallace & Gromit" got together with the computer gurus at DreamWorks Animation, which brought us "Shrek." But this is one of those times in which the whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts. This comic tale about Roddy (voiced by Hugh Jackman), a pampered pet rat who gets flushed down the toilet of his posh London penthouse and into the sewer, has plenty of thrilling moments. A wild boat chase through an elaborate underground canal system is especially breathtaking. Despite being deeply steeped in Brit culture, though, "Flushed Away" simply lacks the simple, delicate charm that has marked everything Aardman Features has ever produced on its own. It's too frantic, too loud - which makes it too much like every other all-star, animated, talking-animal movie that's come out this year. And there have been many. Kate Winslet voices the sassy boat captain who reluctantly comes to Roddy's rescue, and Ian McKellen and Jean Reno have great chemistry as a power-hungry toad and his French cousin, a worldly, snobbish frog. PG for crude humor and some language. 84 min.

'The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause'

Showtimes: 4:15, 6:45 and 9 p.m. Friday; 1:15, 4:15, 6:45 and 9 p.m. Saturday and Sundy; and 4:15, 6:45 and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon.

It's Christmas time once again and Scott Calvin juggles a full house of family and the mischievous Jack Frost, who is trying to take over the "big guy's" holiday. At the risk of giving away the secret location of the North Pole, Scott invites his in-laws to share in the holiday festivities, and upcoming birth of baby Claus with expectant wife, Carol. Along for the adventure are Scott's extended family, son Charlie, ex-wife Laura Miller, her husband, Neil Miller and their daughter, Lucy who, together with head elf Curtis, foil Jack Frost's crafty scheme to control the North Pole. Rated G for general audiences. 98 min.

'Saw III'

Showtimes: 4:30, 7 and 9:15 p.m. Friday; 1:30, 4:30, 7 and 9:15 Saturday and Sunday; and 4:30, 7 and 9:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon.

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) has disappeared; and with his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith) - the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police - he has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard. One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw, bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes another one of his victims, Jeff (Angus MacFadyen), to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them. R for strong grisly violence and gore, sequences of terror and torture, nudity and language. 107 min.

'The Prestige'

Showtimes: 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 1, 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon

It all begins in rapidly changing, turn-of-the-century London. At a time when magicians are idols and celebrities of the highest order, two young magicians set out to carve their own paths to fame. The flashy, sophisticated Robert Angier is a consummate entertainer, while the rough-edged purist Alfred Borden is a creative genius who lacks the panache to showcase his magical ideas. They start out as admiring friends and partners. But when their biggest trick goes terribly awry, they become enemies for life--each intent on outdoing and upending the other. Trick by trick, show by show, their ferocious competition builds until it knows no bounds, even utilizing the fantastical new powers of electricity and the scientific brilliance of radical inventor Nikola Tesla--while the lives of everyone around them hang in the balance. PG-13 for violence and disturbing images.

'Flags of Our Fathers'

Showtimes: 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 1, 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 4, 6:45 and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon

February 1945. Even as victory in Europe was finally within reach, the war in the Pacific raged on. One of the most crucial and bloodiest battles of the war was the struggle for the island of Iwo Jima, which culminated with what would become one of the most iconic images in history: five Marines and a Navy corpsman raising the American flag on Mount Suribachi. The inspiring photo capturing that moment became a symbol of victory to a nation that had grown weary of war and made instant heroes of the six American soldiers at the base of the flag, some of whom would die soon after, never knowing that they had been immortalized. But the surviving flag raisers had no interest in being held up as symbols and did not consider themselves heroes; they wanted only to stay on the front with their brothers in arms who were fighting and dying without fanfare or glory. 'Flags of Our Fathers' is based on the bestselling book by James Bradley with Ron Powers, which chronicled the battle of Iwo Jima and the fates of the flag raisers and some of their brothers in Easy Company. R for sequences of graphic war violence and carnage, and for language.

'Man of the Year'

Showtimes: 7:15 and 9:30 p.m. Friday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon.

Acerbic performer Tom Dobbs has made his career out of skewering politicians and speaking the mind of the exasperated nation on his talk show. He cracked scathing jokes at a fractured system night after night - until he came up with a really funny idea: why not run for president himself? After a flip comment, Dobbs ignites a grassroots movement that puts him on the ballot. Hot on the campaign trail, he debates elected drones and says exactly what frustrated voters have often thought. Nov. 2nd later, the muckraker wins - only to learn that a computer voting error gave him the victory. With time ticking on the inaugural clock, Dobbs has a big decision to make: should he go back behind the mike or stay in the Oval Office? PG-13 for language including some crude sexual references, drug related material, and brief violence.

'The Departed'

Showtimes: 4:15 and 8:30 p.m. Friday; 1:15, 4:15 and 8:30 p.m. p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 4:15 and 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon

'The Departed' is set in South Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello (Jack Nicholson). While Billy is quickly gaining Costello's confidence, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there's a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy - and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself. R for strong brutal violence, pervasive language, some strong sexual content and drug material.

'Open Season'

Showtimes: 4p.m. Friday; 1:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Skyline Cinema, Dillon

A 900-pound domesticated grizzly bear and a scrawny, one-horned mule deer end up stranded together in the woods during hunting season and it's up to the duo to rally all the other forest animals and turn the tables on the hunters. PG for some rude humor, mild action and brief language.
