SUMMIT COUNTY — John Perdue of Granby died Sunday afternoon after possibly having a heart attack near the Eisenhower Tunnel, according to a press release from the Summit County Rescue Group.

Perdue, 60, was snowmobiling with his son and was complaining of shortness of breath, Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson said. He was on a slope above Interstate 70 when CPR was administered around 2 p.m.

Richardson reported that Perdue had a history of heart problems.

Summit County Rescue Group was called to help remove Perdue’s body from the slope, Richardson said. Local law enforcement was also on the scene.
