DENVER (AP) " A man died Monday after police used a Taser while arresting him.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance early Monday and found a man "acting erratic and out of control," spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
"Officers tried to get him to comply and he started striking cars and was not complying," he said.
Jackson said the man calmed down after officers used an electric stun gun on him.
He said the man was then was handcuffed and sent by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center, a standard practice whenever a Taser is used.
The man, who hasn't been identified, was pronounced dead at the hospital, Jackson said.
