One of the big things that sets Wilderness Sports apart from the others is not only its

customer service, but also its employees’ passion for the gear they sell.

“Everybody who works here – we’re all involved in what we sell,” said Drew Gibson, selfproclaimed shop monkey. “We’re passionate about being up on the rock, skiing or being in the woods, and a lot comes across with how we’re passionate.”

Plus, the store has such a huge selection that Gibson comes back from a three-day

weekend, looks around and fi nds at least one item he didn’t realize the shop sells.

“We have more shoes than Carter has little liver pills,” he said.

Bigger is apparently better when it comes to offi ce supply stores, because Offi ce Max keeps rising to the top of the pile in our Best of Summit contest. From post-its to computers and offi ce furniture, the big store is still the best place to get a good deal on business and school supplies. Some locals have even scored nearly free recordable CDs after rebates, and teachers get a break on school supplies.

This stat may just fl oor you: All Flooring has won the best of contest annually since it

opened fi ve years ago. It offers the highest quality products in Summit County, with

with a higher percentage of woman working out,” said owner Doug Roessel.

Plus, the place has top-of-the-line cardio and weight equipment and packages that

include free personal training. It’s a great place for local athletes, as well as the

general public.

Peek-A-Boo, we see you – as the top toy store in Summit County. The Breckenridge store sprung out of its jack-in-the-box about four years ago. Since then, its selection of stuffed animals, puzzles, outdoor toys, art supplies and games for both children and adults has made it the No. 1 place to play. Though it’s easy to get overwhelmed in the store, sales rep Lee Lockwood said, friendly employees are right there to help you out. It’s like going to the most friendly, best-stocked playground in town. That’s our kind of place.

NAPA Auto Parts keeps as many parts in stock as it can, but when it has to order

parts, it stays on top of its deliveries, whether they’re for a local garage or an

something — even if it’s a $5 part — a driver will deliver iti immediately. Plus, the

folks sure are friendly.

Paws & Claws is the cat’s meow when it comes to favorite four-legged stores.

Owners Shannon Taylor and Brad Senfit bought the store in April of 2005, because

they have a passion for customers and their pets. They’re always researching the latest lines of foods and holistic supplements, and Shannon loves to help with specific problems her clients come in with. “We’re very consumed with helping

these animals, and we love this town,” Taylor said.

In addition to healthy food, the store has such seasonal items as doggie backpacks and travel bowls, as well as three dog wash stations complete with grooming tools, towels, dryers and all natural shampoos.
