The Summit County Arts Exhibit Committee is inviting proposals for a piece of sculpture to be placed on the site north of Alpine Bank on Summit Boulevard in Frisco.
Alpine Bank Frisco, completed in 2007, was designed to commemorate the mining history of Summit County.
Artists are encouraged to visit the site and make a personal inspection of the location.
The Summit County Arts Exhibit Committee will accept proposals from artists living and working in Colorado. The theme and concept should focus on Summit history.
The style may be traditional or contemporary, representational or abstract. The piece must be durable, vandal-resistant and safe. The budget for the entire project is $40,000.
Entry deadline is Nov. 30.
Proposals may be directed to Sandy Greenhut, Summit County Arts Exhibit Committee Chair, at P.O. Box 1855, Frisco, CO 80443; by e-mail at sandyg@srgsummit.com; or call with questions at (970) 468-7557.
