COPPER MOUNTAIN — On Saturday, Copper Mountain opened the Main Vein Superpipe. For the third consecutive season Copper can boast the first Superpipe opening in North America. For the debut, Copper’s superpipe welcomed ski and snowboard pros, like Tanner Hall, to take some of the first hits.
Copper’s pipe is a product of collaboration between Copper’s nationally recognized Catalyst Terrain Park team and Snowpark Technologies (SPT). SPT and Copper will now work together to develop, design and build Copper’s nationally recognized Catalyst Terrain Park and the other parks throughout the mountain. Copper’s Catalyst Terrain Park and Main Vein Superpipe will host the Suzuki US Freeskiing Open and USASA Nationals in 2008.
Copper currently offers 159 acres of skiing and riding with one high speed six-pack, three high speed quads and two beginner lifts serving x trails. Look for the Catalyst Terrain Park to open in late December. Copper’s Eagle Jib Park is open at the top of the American Eagle lift with more than 10 boxes, rails and others jib features.
