VAIL — Eagle County saw just 104 real-estate transactions in January, the fewest in 12 years. The total amount of sales dollars for those transactions was $124 million, the lowest in four years, according to statistics compiled by Land Title Guarantee Company in Eagle.

January is customarily the slowest month for real-estate in Eagle County, which has seen record sales over the past few years.

The county had $2.96 billion in real-estate sales last year, a record that beat 2005’s $2.8 billion in sales
