CML launches Essay Contest for seventh-graders

Print Comment
In an effort to educate the general community about the importance of Colorado's cities and towns, the Colorado Municipal League (CML) is launching the "If I Were Mayor ..." essay contest, sponsored by COLOTRUST. The contest is open to seventh-graders statewide including home-schooled students. This year's topic is "If you were Mayor, how would you explain the importance of municipal government to kids in your community?" Winners will be recognized at the 2008 CML Annual Conference in June 2008 in Steamboat Springs.

Entry forms can be found at CML's website at www.cml.org by scrolling to the bottom of the "What's New" box or by calling CML at (303) 831-6411. Entries are due to CML by April 15, 2008.
