Summit Concert Band’s free spring concert is Wednesday

The Summit Concert Band will perform its spring concert on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion.

SILVERTHORNE — The Summit Concert Band will present its spring concert on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion.
Musical selections will include Grays Harbor March (Hodges), Walking Tune (Grainger), Russian Folk Dances (Rager), Chant and Capriccio (Curnow), On A Hymnsong of Philip Bliss (Holsinger), Whitewater Festival (Schaefer) and Agüero (Franco).
“We continue to grow, rehearse weekly, perform often, and are always seeking new members,” said band president Lisa Knobel. “Contact us about performances or joining, even if you’re ‘just passing through.” Weekly rehearsals take place every Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Summit High School band room.
