Snow collapses garage roof in Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE — A collapsed garage roof due to heavy snow caused Breckenridge fire authorities to close traffic on Broken Lance Drive this week, after the collapsing roof also severed a natural gas line.

Neighbors who called 911 to alert Red, White & Blue Fire District authorities of the collapse said they noticed a strong smell of gas coming from the property. No one was in the house at the time.

Upon investigating around the house, firefighters located the natural gas shut off to the house and the garage.
