Print Comment
SUMMIT COUNTY — A CDOT worker repairing a cable barrier on the center median of Interstate 70 near Frisco was hit by a car on Sunday morning by a woman who fell asleep at the wheel, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

CDOT worker Rick Lee, 42, of Georgetown attempted to jump out of the way when he saw the 1996 Honda Accord run off the left side of the road, but was struck on one of his legs as he was trying to get to safety.

The driver of the Honda, Ashley Webb, 18, of Grand Junction has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Injury.
