<b>Network at the Breckenridge Resort Chamber April mixer </b>
BRECKENRIDGE — The Breckenridge Resort Chamber (BRC) Ambassadors and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company are hosting the April mixer at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, 231 South Main St., Breckenridge. The mixer will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday. Admission is $5 for members and $10 for prospective members. Proceeds from admission go to the BRC Ambassador Scholarship Fund.

<b>First Bank surpasses billion dollar mark in assets and deposits</b>
Lakewood-based FirstBank Holding Company reported that on March 31, assets topped $9 billion and deposits topped $8 billion, according to John A. Ikard, president of the holding company. Ikard reported assets reached $9,002,199,000 up 10%, and deposits were $8,031,647,000, up 8%.
FirstBank’s net income for the first quarter of 2008, excluding a pre-tax gain of $7,868,000 from the sale of Visa stock, was $28,049,000, up 19% over 2007. Earnings per share prior to the Visa stock gain were $214.82, up 20%. Actual net income and earnings per share for the first quarter of 2008 were $32,927,000 and $252.18, respectively. Loans were at $3,451,392,000 up 20% over last year.
At March 31, FirstBank Summit County offices, Sliverthorne, Breckenridge and Frisco had total assets of $344.9 million. FirstBank currently has 120 locations in Colorado, three in California and four in the Phoenix area.
<b>Outlets of Colorado to conduct “Strike a Pose” model search</b>
SILVERTHORNE — Outlets of Colorado is looking for five school age, energetic, fun guys and gals to be part of its back to school advertising campaign. Live try-outs will be held on Saturday, May 17 at the Silverthorne outlet center.
Registration will be held from 9-10 a.m. on May 17. The auditions are open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 23. Entrants are to complete a registration form available online at

A panel of local dignitaries will act as judges to select five winners who will be the Outlets’ faces for back to school promotions and throughout the coming year. Winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m. and must be present to win.
Each of the winners will receive a trip for up to four people to Glenwood Springs, June 10-13 where the professional photo shoot will be held. The trip will include photos taken at the Caverns, Hot Springs Pool, Hotel Colorado and models will enjoy a free concert as well.
The Strike A Pose models will also appear on a variety of live television fashion segments airing throughout July, August and September for back to school and during the Holidays as well. There will be fashion shows twice during the year as well and the Strike A Pose models will be featured.
The winners also receive a $150 Outlets gift certificate, Samsonite backpack, photos from a professional photo session, a beginners modeling course, a 6ft. standee of a group photo at the end of the promotion and a grand prize of a three day / two night stay in Glenwood Springs Resort.
Voluntary monetary donations will be collected at the model search events on May 17 to benefit the American Heart Association.
