SUMMIT COUNTY — Top Vail executives will present their latest plans for Keystone at Wednesday’s meeting of the Keystone Citizens League. The meeting is open to the public and will be an opportunity for residents of the area to learn about the redevelopment of the Mountain House base and the new gondola being built at River Run this summer.
“This is the most exciting time for Keystone since Ralston started talking about River Run,” said Amir Pambechy, president of the Keystone Citizens League. “Until now, we've been on the back burner, now we're in the spotlight.”
County Commissioner Thomas Davidson, Keystone chief operating officer Pat Campbell and Vail Resorts vice president Alex Iskenderian are all scheduled to speak at the meeting.
Vail's Mountain House redevelopment plans are linked to a discussion with Summit County about affordable and employee housing at the resort. Pambechy said the resort and the Keystone Citizens league are focusing on those topics.
The open meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Keystone Center, 1628 Sts. Johns Road.
