Friends Welcome program recognizes six outstanding employess and a business of the month

BRECKENRIDGE— Six exceptional Breckenridge employees and one Breckenridge business were recognized for outstanding customer service by Friends Welcome on Wednesday April 30, 2008 during the Breckenridge Resort Chamber Ambassador Mixer. March winners were described as employees that went the extra mile and a real strength of the Breckenridge community. Breckenridge employees can be nominated for the Friends Welcome award by visitors, coworkers or supervisors or residents for demonstrating exceptional guest service at their place of work. Rewards for the six chosen employees include $100 worth of gift certificates for use in a variety of businesses in Breckenridge and a parking pass from the Town of Breckenridge.
In addition to honoring four outstanding guest service employees, Friends Welcome honored Blue River Sports as the Business of the Month. They will automatically be entered, along with the 11 other monthly winners, to win the Business of the Year Award. Each winner will receive a free insert in the Breckenridge Resort Chamber monthly mailer and recognition at the BRC Ambassador monthly mixers.

The outstanding employees that were recognized and rewarded Wednesday night were:

Casey Breslow — A Mountain Sanctuary Day Spa
Casey works the front desk at the Spa and she has the most contagious smile ever! She embodies all the principles of the GOSKI program effortlessly. She is the first impression to the Spa and without her the reality is that guests would have a lesser experience!
Co-workers at Mountain Sanctuary Day Spa

Anna Mobley — Wedgewood Lodge
Her smile and offer of help made me feel like I was among friends. Some of the things I saw her do for guests during our stay was, going out to buy detergent for a guest so they could use the wash machine, bought stamps and mailed postcards, got change for the soda machine and most importantly was always smiling. Any organization would be blessed to have Anna on board.
Stephanie LIneberry, Oklahoma

Kim Kroepler — Giampietro’s Pizzeria
Kim is “Giampietro’s! She has been working there since the restaurant opened and it is great to walk in there and see her smiling face! No matter how busy the place is, Kim always makes sure you are taken care of.
Jen Valde, Sante Fe

Doug Ohi — Great Outdoor Clothing
Doug is always very helpful and excellent at customer service. He always takes the time to answer your questions. Doug deserves to be Employee of the Month!
Tammy Perry, Denver

Brandon Hirt — Shirt and Ernies
Brandon does a great job with customer service towards his customers and his employees. We shopped in his store four days out of the seven we were in town, and bought something everytime!
Jill Lutz, Pennsylvania

Bubba — River Mountain Lodge Cocktail Lounge
Bubba made us feel so welcome, he remembered our names every evening, gave us his City Market discount card, gave us coupons to use around town, had crayons and coloring books for the kids, is a FANTASTIC conversationalist and FUN! He also knows just about everything about Breckenridge and shares it all.
Emily Danis, Vermont

Blue River Sports – Scott Sodergren
Whenever we have out of town guests that need to rent ski equipment we always send them to Blue River Sports. The reason is that we know they will get very personable customer service. Everyone gets treated great at Blue River Sports!
Maryanne Olsen, Breckenridge

Nominations for the Friends Welcome Rewards and Recognition Program are currently being taken. Rewards for the next outstanding nominees will be given at the BRC Ambassador October mixer.
