FRISCO — The town's museum and historic park is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week with a May 9 after-hours history fest at the museum marking the occasion. The doors will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for light refreshments and a presentation on the museum and its role in the town.

That means it's a great time to brush up on Frisco history. The first person to correctly answer all the questions in the Summit Daily's online pop quiz wins a historic-themed lunch with Mayor Bill Pelham.

The Frisco museum hosts about 26,000 people per year, making it one of the busiest heritage sites in the area.

“Museums are stewards of human existence,” said Frisco museum manager Simone Belz. “They carry on the stories of peoples' lives and legacies. It's not just stuff,” she says, explaining the museum's role in nurturing a collective cultural legacy.
