Think golf at Stonehaven

Print Comment
As the weather improves, our thoughts turn to golf, biking, and hiking in the High Country. The perfect base of operations is today’s featured home at Stonehaven, a beautiful townhome community right on the Jack Nicklaus-designed twenty seven hole Breckenridge Golf Course. Offered at $1,049,000, this beautifully planned home has four bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a spectacular setting with golf in summer and Nordic skiing right outside your door in the winter.

The drive leads up to the two car garage which also offers plenty of space for mountain “toys.” The main door on this level opens to a slated entry and hall area. The first impression is one of tranquility and soothing warm colors. One wall which rises to both levels is stone with a column of small glass windows.

On this first level, there is a laundry, storage closet, and mud area near the garage access. The first of three bedrooms on this level houses twin beds and enjoys a walk in closet, as well as a full tiled bath. The second bedroom also has good closet space and its own bath. The third bedroom is set up as a second master, with French doors out to a stone patio.

Stairs up from the main entry lead to a spectacular Great room with a wall of windows up to the peak of the cathedral ceiling. The windows bring in the view of the Par 5 outside the home. A dry stacked stone fireplace with a raised hearth and stone mantle centers the space. Cherry hardwood floors and peeled beam detail add warm mountain touches. The adjoining dining area is well configured for a large gathering. French doors open onto the west-facing deck- the perfect spot for al fresco dining or afternoon Happy Hour.

Next is the open classic kitchen with cherry cabinetry and slab granite countertops in charcoal and slate gray. The sleek design is an elegant, sophisticated look. Appliances include Bosch dishwasher, GE Profile Artica refrigerator, GE four burner gas cooktop, convection wall oven, and microwave. A triple sink enjoys a great view of the golf course, while the center island adds additional seating. A nearby powder room boasts red walls and a pedestal sink.

The main floor master is on this level as well, with a second fireplace with raised hearth and a private deck with eastern and southern exposure- the perfect spot for morning coffee and mountain views. The ensuite master bath features travertine countertops, double sinks, a steam shower with built in bench and a jetted tub. Natural stone here is trimmed with tumbled travertine accents.

This beautiful mountain home is well appointed and has lovely design details like five horizontal panel solid core doors, quality woodwork and excellent lighting. With a spectacular location and perfect floor plan, this is a great opportunity for a Breckenridge four season residence.
