Join FDRD and Pulling for Colorado for the Summit County Weed Pull Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) and Pulling for Colorado invite you to get involved in the Summit County Weed pull on Saturday, July 12.
The day will begin with breakfast and a quick educational segment on noxious weeds at 8 a.m. at the Summit County Senior & Community Center (501 Peak One Blvd., Frisco).
Site-Assignments will be made and we will carpool to worksites in Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne and start pulling weeds by 9 a.m. The workday will end at noon with a Trail Gate party slated for 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.
Volunteers will help pull invasive plant species on Summits public lands and open spaces. Volunteers should dress for a day outdoors. Bring water, work gloves, layered clothing including long pants, long sleeved shirt, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, rain gear, and insect repellent, and lots of enthusiasm. Kids under 18 are allowed on this project with parent/guardian supervision.
