Fourth of July marks launch of the Summit Independent Business Alliance

Print Comment
July 4 marked the official launch of the Summit Independent Business Alliance (SIBA), a nonprofit organization that has recently formed within Summit County to help the mountain region maintain its unique community character, provide continuing opportunities for entrepreneurs, build economic strength, and prevent the mass displacement of community-based businesses.

To kick off the grand debut, SIBA will celebrate the great importance of local independent businesses by sponsoring a float in both the Breckenridge and Frisco July 4 parades.

Over the past two months, SIBA has been organizing with the support of the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA), a national non-profit 501(c)3 that helps citizens launch Independent Business Alliances in their own communities.

SIBA is welcoming any donations and contributions of non-financial resources to assist in its startup costs. Contributors may be eligible for a “sustaining member” status. To learn more about becoming a member, call (970) 668-9495 or e-mail katieroberts@idcomm.com.
