ESTES PARK Rocky Mountain National Park officials say at least three people have been struck by lightning near a remote lake but are hiking back to a trailhead.
Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says that initial reports that a fourth person may have been hit in the Tuesday afternoon strike were wrong.
Patterson says the three confirmed victims, two males and a female, were hit at 12:20 p.m. near Mills Lake.
The park is about 50 miles northwest of Denver.
