Print Comment
The Summit County Seniors announce their annual Gigantic Rummage Sale to be held Aug. 14-17 at the Summit County Community and Senior Center, Peak 1 Blvd, south of Frisco.

Donations of rummage will be accepted at the center from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and from 7 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Aug. 14.

Large furniture, mattresses, large appliances, TVs and computer monitors without computers, cannot be accepted.

The sale opens with a special presale on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 5-8 p.m. A $10 per person donation will be charged for the presale hours only.

Regular sale hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

On Sunday, items inside of the building will go for $1 a bagful. All other items will be greatly reduced.

A silent auction in conjunction with the sale will open Thursday evening and close at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Once again, the seniors are hoping that an individual will donate an automobile, original art, fur coats and other valuable merchandise to this year’s silent auction.

All proceeds from the sale will go to Summit County charitable organizations supporting seniors.

Any local charity benefitting seniors is invited to apply for a portion of these funds. For more information please call (970) 668-2940.
