FRISCO Summit County Water Rescue Team divers recovered a body Saturday evening that Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson says could be Adam Brown, a seven-year Frisco resident who fell overboard last Wednesday into Dillon Reservoir. A process to confirm the identification is continuing by the Coroners Office.
A lengthy recovery effort complicated by weather and high altitude continued all day Saturday for Brown, who was loved by co-workers in town reflected by a vigil held Friday evening and loving comments from friends and co-workers.
With the help of the Colorado State Park Rangers, dive teams, using high-tech sonar equipment, found the body. According to the Sheriffs Office press release, the preliminary findings suggested the deceased is Adam Brown. The body was found late Friday night, although lightning and heavy rain postponed the recovery efforts.
On Saturday, with inclement weather still complicating searches, divers ran out of oxygen and had to take a break.
Last week, Summit County sheriffs deputies determined the boats driver, Frisco resident Kevin Lukanski, was intoxicated. Lukanski, 35, was arrested on suspicion of operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the Summit County Jail. He was released on a $1,000 bond shortly after his arrest.
