Q: What type of business do you operate what do you sell, or what service do you provide?
A: Quality vinyl replacement window and doors as well as some higher end composite products at factory direct pricing. I also have quality shutters and blinds well priced based on our companys ability to purchase on volume without the big box overhead.
Q: Where are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in Summit County?
A: I am an Atlanta native, but I have been in Summit County for over 15 years. I have been a realtor before and since I moved here and opened a Metro Brokers office in Silverthorne over 8 years ago. I am incorporating a product that is complementary to my present business because I see a need. Old inefficient windows in this climate are uncomfortable and expensive due to heat loss. With thenewer technology, and depending on what we are replacing, these products often pay for themselves in just a few years.
Q: What experience do you have in this field?
A: Many years of sales, for lack of a better word. I consider my real estate business to be a profession. I believe in high customer service and low pressure. I will approach the window business the same way. Corporate requires all licensees to attend training and use the continued support of a regional manager as well as the staff at national headquarters. It is a team.
Q: What sets your business apart from other similar businesses?
A: Clear Choice USA is a national company that grew at an astounding rate last year when most businesses were down. They contract with manufacturers for volume pricing and the licensees are able to pass that savings to the consumer. Their business model emphasizes customer service and product knowledge.
Q: What types of customers do you hope to reach in Summit County?
A: First the entry level homeowner that needs to save money on utilities and make a good investment in home improvement. Secondly, we have a wonderful high end product line with prices based on volume purchasing. Thirdly, there are a number of aging condo communities that really need window and door replacement. We can offer additional savings on commercial projects.
Q: Why did you choose to open where you did?
A: A great need for a great product line.
Q: What are your plans for your companys future?
A: I have obtained the Eagle, Grand and Summit County territories. Being a Summit County resident, I am focusing here first but looking for sales staff and experienced installer for Eagle and Grand Counties as well.
