COLORADO SPRINGS El Paso County coroners officials say a woman who fell into a chest freezer and died before a friend found her was likely in the freezer for less than 24 hours.
Police say a friend found the woman Saturday and called for help. Police do not suspect foul play.
Sandy Way, an office administrator for the coroners office, said Monday that the woman died of positional asphyxiation, meaning her body was in a position that prevented her from breathing.
Way says the womans rear end was in the freezer, with both her feet and head raised.
The womans identity wasnt immediately released because her family had not yet been notified.
