Silverthorne’s Town Council and Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) will be hosting an Annual Business Breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion. This is a great way for Silverthorne businesses to find out what’s happening in Silverthorne, meet with organizations that may be able assist their business, and enjoy a free continental breakfast.
This year’s business breakfast agenda includes a brief summary of Silverthorne’s newly revised Comprehensive Plan which has introduced the opportunity for increased density, building heights, and reduced parking requirements and a short summary of 2008 Town revenues (primarily derived through sales tax). The main focus of this event will be to introduce Silverthorne and other Summit County businesses to the services offered by the following organizations: Summit Independent Business Alliance, Colorado Office of Economic Development, Colorado Lending Source, Colorado Work Force Center, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, SCORE, Colorado Rural Development Council, Colorado Enterprise Fund, NWCCOG, Colorado Mountain College and many of the local banks.
