Summit Community Care Clinic is pleased to be hosting dental students from the University of Colorado Dental School on their public health rotations in the spring of 2009. We will have one student a month for three months beginning the end of January.
We are looking for those folks in our community who may have additional room
in their home and would be willing to help house the dental student during his/
her stay in Summit County.
The dental students provide valuable volunteer time to the Care Clinic and see four to six patients per day during their time with us.
In turn, the students learn how a nonprofit clinic cares for a communitys low income and uninsured population.
Each rotation is typically 4 weeks. The students need housing during the week and tend to go back to Denver on the weekends.
Opening your home for any portion of a students rotation would be greatly appreciated by both the student and the Care Clinic.
Please contact Erin Major at (970) 668-4053 if you feel you could help in this meaningful way.
