An open letter to Summit County and Colorado conservatives.
In my near 50 years of living in this great nation of ours (and almost 28 of living in Summit County) I have watched what can only be labeled the “devolution” of objectivity, truth and fairness in the established network news programs. I was too young to remember the specifics of the Vietnam War era, but from studying the history of network news in general it was this time in history that began using newscasts for spreading the liberal agenda. From that point until now we Americans have seen this practice increase to the point of out-and-out warfare against ideals, philosophies and principles that disagree with the liberal/Democratic agendas.
This last election cycle saw absolute evidence of this in the way the mainstream media continually fielded soft questions to Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but when John McCain or Sarah Palin were interviewed by the same networks they were met with entirely different attitudes by the reporters and were given very difficult topics to comment on. We saw many untruthful and distasteful groundless accusations by these same networks in regards to conservative candidates and issues, yet this kind of treatment was never given at all to liberal candidates and issues.

This is a new Colorado political action committee dedicated to Republican Party reconstruction and the boycotting of the mainstream media (television, print, radio and Internet).
We as regular American conservatives can band together and form a political activism group that can quickly number into the millions as we network with those in our spheres of influence (local groups, churches, mailing lists, e-mail address books, local media outlets, etc.). We can soon be a force to be reckoned with in not only the Republican Party from local central committees up to the national level, but also in regards to the mainstream media outlets.
We are beginning a grassroots boycott of the mainstream media networks and their complete programming lineups. By decreasing their Nielsen Ratings we devalue the worth of their advertising products and by further boycotting their advertisers we give the mainstream media outlets a choice: They can either reconsider their obviously slanted positions in regards to most political and social issues and become the objective journalists that they should truly be, or they can continue to run their current course of ignoring the other half of Americans who can and will vote with their media interaction and pocketbooks.
