Warren Bishop, whose parents, Pooh and Ray live in Dillon Valley, is still being a “travelin’ man.”
A 2000 Summit High grad, and an ‘06 grad of the University of South Dakota in Vermillion with a bachelor’s degree in technical theater, he’s now the assistant master electrician on a national tour of ”The Wizard of Oz,” a production of NETworks.
Warren’s been in Washington, D.C., Schenectady, N.Y., South Carolina and will be in Fayetteville, Ark., this week and Nashville next. The show will have an extended stay in March at Madison Square Garden’s WaMu Theater in New York City. This tour runs through the end of June and the farthest west it comes is Dallas and Chicago. Whew!
Before this latest resume-marking adventure, Warren worked for Carnival Cruise Lines as an entertainment technician, and spent the summer of ‘06 traveling up and down the Inland Passage and the coast of Alaska from Vancouver to Whittier and back. Then he went really out to sea with the ship to Hawaii before transferring to the Caribbean.
Locally, he’s worked for The Vilar Center in Beaver Creek and Todd Howe, who owns THD Productions.
When he has been home in Summit he has worked with Scott Porter and theater tech kids at SHS, spurring on aspiring "techies."
Recently, he enjoyed working with Missy Moore (another SHS grad), when she directed the fall production of “Al-most Maine.”

C. Richard Ike is in his 43rd year on the National Ski Patrol at Mad River Mountain near Marysville, Ohio, and he’ll be back out this spring to ski at A-Basin with son T.A., and family who live in Denver.
A long-retired banker and insuranceman, C. Richard was the Copper Mountain Chamber of Commerce exec director and later a Realtor before returning to the Midwest.
“I have been busy living back in my hometown and enjoying retirement. I have been asked to manage the financial aspect of a couple of small condo complexes. All the owners are old friends and we enjoy each others company. Most of my contact with those old friends who are still alive is via email,” he reports.
He corresponds regularly with locals Gary and Darlene Longballa.
