Arapahoe Basin spring passes on sale now

Adapting to the highly competitive season-pass environment, Arapahoe Basin this week announced a couple of new pass deals, including a $699 family pass, valid for two adults and two kids.

The family pass complements the new $279 A+ pass, which is on sale now and valid for skiing and riding the rest of this season at A-Basin, along with five bonus days at Keystone or Breckenridge. One of those days can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek.

Other A+ Spring Pass benefits include a free half-day lesson for the pass-holder, lift-ticket discounts for family and friends, and 10 percent off cafeteria and retail-shop purchases.

"Arapahoe Basin's high-alpine environment lets skiers and riders enjoy the sport long after the other resorts have closed for the season," said Alan Henceroth, The ski area's vice president and chief operating officer. "The A+ pass is the most affordable way to ski Summit County. By getting this discounted 'spring' pass months before spring starts, our guests will get over four months on the slopes at a great value."

There's also an A-Basin-only pass on sale for $209, with a youth pass (ages 15-18) costing $159 and a child pass (6-14) for $99.
