Where am I? asks on-the-road Dan Kibbie.
Right now I'm in South America, and after waiting for a month, I finally got my Kawasaki from Miami. We spent a week heading down the coast of Peru with Mirian on the back. The road has been great for traveling by bike, it is very twisty and has lots of ups and downs.
We stopped in Ica, Peru, a town on the edge of an oasis with sand dunes all round it that go on for as far as you can see. They have sand boarding and dune tours in awesome looking vehicles.
We then landed in Arequipa and spent three nights at a friends hostel, where I stayed two times before. It was great to see Mafred.
Right now were at Xiemena's house and had a great party last night with her relatives whom I met on an earlier trip.
The bike has been preforming well. It handles the windy roads great and have only hit the pegs twice on the pavement. It has fallen over three times while standing still.
Had one tricky incident traveling across sand on the road going about 70 mph and I thought it was gonna be my first crash, but the bike made it through it thank God.
Then we met some super heros on the road to defeat Chile.
They were making a kids movie and we will be in it. They used my bike to shoot some scenes. We are headed down the coast and into Argentina through the mountains to Uruguay.
Its summer now and Im not looking forward to winter. See you all in July.

And just back from Argentina, South America, are Lou Wagner and Sandy Mor-tensen and Don and Betsy Sather, who visited former Summiteers John JD and Leslie Farr.
Heres Dons report:
John and Leslie gave us a tour of the Parque National Park and their winter home area outside of the town of Junin. One night we joined them for a delicious dinner at their favorite restaurant. It was packed and, of course, many people knew JD.
I'm sure you remember that John was a founder of the Summit County Rotary Club back in 1975.
He started Arrow Insurance in Summit County in 1971. His agency had been in Boulder, and interestingly, Breck barrister Jay Bauer worked for John while he was in law school.
John and Leslie now spend most of the year at their home in Encampment, Wyo., and a few months of each winter in the warmer Argentine climate. Both are known for great fly fishing.
For many years JD and his dad would fish in Argentina. Although now retired, John occasionally serves as a fishing guide in Argentina, when English and good fish stories are required.
