SUMMIT COUNTY Sheriffs deputies discovered the body of 41-year-old David Knapp in his Dillon Valley home after checking on him Sunday night.
According to Coroner Joanne Richardson, it appears that Knapp has been deceased for two or three weeks.
The mother had called for a welfare check, said Paulette Horr, the public information officer for the Summit County Sheriffs Department. It doesnt seem like anything appeared to be out of order. Foul play is not suspected.
Knapp was not employed at the time of his death, Richardson said in an e-mail. His mother lives in Malibu, Calif., and hes lived in Summit County for several years.
An autopsy has been ordered. No investigation is planned, pending the outcome of the autopsy, Horr said.
