As a life-long liberal Democrat, I usually strongly disagree with Morgan Liddicks political positions, especially on the issue of the effectiveness and necessity of government regulations to curb the excesses and abuses of the so-called free market; and of his opinions regarding Bushs eight-year reign compared to Obamas first hundred days. Nevertheless, as a scientist who has analyzed the green energy proposals of the new administration as it has been motivated by the fear-mongering hysteria associated with the theory of human-caused global warming, I must agree with Liddicks arguments in his May 5 article that green energy has serious deficiencies both practically and economically. For details of my analysis, see

For my analysis of the theory of human-caused global warming as it has been presented by the fear-mongering of the Gore-IPCC-Hansen clique and regrettably accepted by the Obama Administration, his energy secretary and his science advisor, see http://www.carbon-sense.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/hertzberg.pdf.
I think that we liberal Democrats would be wise to leave the fear-mongering to the neo-Cons.
