Colorado Mountain College Summit Campus and Colorado Small Business Development Center Network are combining efforts to help cultivate small businesses in the northwestern part of the state.
The two organizations will be funding a regional director based at CMC Summit’s Dillon site, to serve businesses from Dillon to Aspen.
“We are thrilled to be able to support small business development in our communities through this partnership,” said Nicole Fazande, CMC Summit instructional chair in a press release.
A Heeney resident with a master’s in business administration in finance from the University of Colorado at Denver has been selected to serve as the regional director.
Jack Taylor, who’s lived in Summit County for 20 years, has operated his own consulting business — Taylored Solutions — to help small businesses and nonprofits for the past 12 years.
He’s also served as the vice president of finance for the nonprofit Keystone Center.
“His background and expertise in helping small businesses will truly benefit the small businesses in northwestern Colorado. I hope that all entrepreneurs take advantage of the business counseling and training programs,” said Kelly Manning, SBDC network director for Colorado.
The network provides free, confidential counseling and training programs to small businesses across the state.
