Volunteers are needed to help plant trees and diversify the forest after the devastation by the pine beetle at the Fiester Preserve in Frisco. The tree planting effort will take place on Thursday from 12:30-4 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are welcome to come for one or both planting sessions. Kids from Frisco Elementary School will be helping on Thursday afternoon, and volunteers are needed to help finish up on Friday morning. Meet at the Fiester Preserve along Miners Creek Road, across from the Summit County Community and Senior Center on Peak One Bvld.
