Summit County Open Space and Trails thanks the awesome third-graders of Frisco Elementary School and the Continental Divide Land Trust volunteers who made the Fiester Preserve seedling tree planting such a success. On May 28, with the help of 30 students as well as teachers, parents and CDLT volunteers, we planted 400 seedling trees and shrubs at this open space area in Frisco.
Special thanks go to Heidi Sodetz, Jenny Wischmeyer, and Kathy Lorch with Frisco Elementary School, and Leigh Girvin, Continental Divide Land Trust, for your energy, time and enthusiasm on this second annual collaborative event assisting with the County's reforestation efforts. Thank you all so much.
