Volunteers are needed for the Dillon Weed Pull from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The goal is to pull noxious and invasive weeds such as false chamomile, white top, thistle and toad flax from areas in the Dillon Parks.
Meet at the Dillon Amphitheatre concession stand at 9 a.m. It is located at the corner of Lake Dillon Drive and Lodgepole. (aka: Marina Park Parking Lot). Come for one hour or three — it all helps.
Bring a shovel and/or trowel, work gloves, water, snack, good shoes, sunscreen. Event is rain or shine. Sample live weeds will be available to look at if you are unfamiliar with the problem plants. Call Barb Richard at (970) 389-4766 for more info or email skiab@colorado.net.
