Here on The Summit just see if you can keep up with the pace of offerings of meat, music, matriculations and marriage.

Meat: Frisco continues its annual hosting of the BBQ Challenge this weekend.

Just follow the smoke to Old Frisco Main Street.

Music: The Dillon Amphitheater hosts a free family-friendly concert tonight featuring this line-up: Randall McKinnon, followed by Nancy Cook and friends Gail Smith, Ed Billeaud, and Nancy McDowell, then rockers Eyes Wide Open cap the evening. It all starts at 6 p.m.

Nancy will debut her latest CD, “Focus,” for which she'll be donating half the sales proceeds to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which assists injured armed forces members and families while they recuperate at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Naval Medical Center.

You can also find Nancy at Breckendridge's Hearthstone on Thursday, June 25, from 4-6:30 p.m.

Matriculations: Congrats to Amy Secor, who just graduated from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business. She earned a bachelor's in business administration, majoring in marketing with minors in Spanish, business ethics and legal studies.

Daughter of Steve and Nancy Secor, who have lived here since 1978, Amy attended K-12 in Summit.

And books are not Amy's only interest: She was president of the DU Cycling Team and plans on continuing racing in the Denver area.

Another scholar-athlete doing well is Ben Clark, born and raised in Summit County, and just graduating “with distinction” from CU-Boulder's Leeds School of Business with a finance degree. Ben lives in Boulder and works for Morgan Stanley.

The son of Jan and Steve Clark of Dillon, Ben graduated seventh in his class from SHS in 2005. Playing basketball, his team qualified for the state.

Marriage: Congrats to Dusty Meadows and Ellie Bray, who are getting married Saturday at Keystone, after a “love at first sight” happening seven years ago.

Dusty, whose parents are Carolynn and Dallas, is a Keystone Resort ski patroller; Vail Resorts reservations manager Ellie's parents are Sandra and Paul.

Here from San Diego, Calif., is Dusty's uncle, Richard Parrish, a famous Breck hair artist years ago.

Other family members attending include Sharon Parrish, Heidi and Kelly Maike, Melissa Kanski-Mott and kids Peyton Ann, Wesley Jacob, and Lucia Rene; and engaged Rachel Rose Maike and Vaughn Matthew Hudson.

Up from the Boulder area to do the Run the Rockies 10k were Jen Clements and Cappra Colangelo, lovely young women who found the course through Ten Mile Canyon very beautiful. Having to work that morning was their friend April Smith, who hooked up with them later.

Hey Spike! joined April and her cousin from Longmont and Frisco, Rob Hughey, for a run early Sunday.
