The Breckenridge Police Department will host a bike registration event Wednesday in the Blue River Plaza, just off of Main Street. Breckenridge Community Service Officers will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting) to help citizens register their bikes, answer questions concerning bike safety or any other questions regarding the community.
The Breckenridge Police Department would like to emphasize the importance of bicycle registration, as it does help officers in locating an owner, once a bike has been found. Bike owners can also prevent bike theft by always locking their bicycles while they are unattended.
